The wise crone, the witch, the protector, the underworld. Some may call mugwort a weed, I call mugwort one of my best friends. 
 
This crone energy plant is known as a protector and an herb of the witches.  It is growing wild everywhere here on the land in glorious fields reaching above my head.  Swaying on the side of the driveway, inviting you closer, bewitching you with its earthy scent and tease of silvery luminescence as the leaves are kissed by the air. 
 
As with all herbs, research and seek guidance before use.
 
All tinctures made with freshly gathered plants - which were either grown from seed or ethically wildcrafted in the Catskills.  Using fresh plants results in a well-balanced, higher potency tincture than using dry herbs.  The plants were infused into alcohol (vodka or brandy) for at least 2 moon cycles (at least 8 weeks).  The plants were then strained from the alcohol  and the alcohol retained both the water-soluble and alcohol-soluble properties of the plants.  
 
Most of the offerings are ‘simples’ which is a tincture of a single plant.  I find this way you can really build a relationship with the plant and know how it is working with your system.  Blends are amazing too, the only downside is you will not be able to know which plants are helping you in which specific way - if that matters to you...

HOW DO I USE IT?
Shake well.

Tinctures can be used for immediate action, but typically working with a plant over a period of time will result in greater benefit.  

You can put the tincture directly in your mouth or it might be more pleasant to add to a tea or other beverage given the sometimes strong alcohol taste. 
 
Start small with a half dropperful or so.  Up to 30 drops can be taken 1-3 x per day.
